How do I find an event?
Events within the region of the US covered by the Kingdom of Meridies (GA, AL, and parts of FL, KY, and TN) can be found on the calendar located here.
Events in other regions are always going on to. Want to attend an event in another part of the country, or even the world? You can find other regional groups (called Kingdoms in the SCA) here.

What can I expect at an event?
Every event is different. Most are single day or weekend long, but there are also longer events. Many have a theme, and those themes may look wildy different from one event to the next. The activities on offer will also vary. If you are looking for an event with something specific, we’re here to help you find it!
There are, however, some things you can expect at every event. Whether the activity line up looks like watching a tournament, throwing a few axes, dancing, taking a class, or tasting a historical recipe, a typical event schedule will offer you plenty of options to fill your day. There will always be people present who love what they do in the SCA and would be happy to share what they know. No matter what event you go to, you will always find an enthusiastic welcome!
Can I just show up?
Yes! Pre-registration is preferred and may be neccessary to secure a spot at any meals being offered or some overnight accomodations, but it is always an option to just show up to an event (heads up, events are cash or check only at the gate).

What should I bring?
You need very little to get started in the SCA. The bare minimum for your first event is an attempt at pre-1600’s clothing, and loaner outfits can be arranged. A cup or mug is also generally helpful. There are typically plenty of opportunities to fill one at events. If you’re camping, modern camping gear is a completely acceptable option. Sunscreen and bug spray can be helpful at outdoor events. A camp stool or other portable seat can also be helpful.
